The Department of Kannada and Culture, Government of Karnataka, in collaboration with the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, and the Department of Kannada and Culture, has organized a two-day state-level public festival on February 24 and 25 at the Junior College Ground and T. Channaiah Rangamandira in Kolar. This special event, held under a unique project, aims to promote literature and culture.
The festival offers a wonderful opportunity to experience performances of various folk arts representing the Scheduled Caste community from across Karnataka. Featured performances include Kahale, Dollu, Geegi Vadiya, Kolata, Kombu Kahale, Veeragase, Puja Kunita, Tamate, Urume, Lavani Vadiya, Folk Dance, Nandi Dhwaja, Goraka Nritya, Shehanai, Jaggalige, Huli Vesha, Chanj Mela, Hagalu Vesha, Maragalu Kunita, Karadi Majalu, Garudi Gombe, Halakki Suggi Kunita, Khanivadana, Chitti Mela, Kansale, Somana Kunita, Nagari, Keelukdu, Lambani Nritya, and many more.
The public, organizations, farmers, women, school and college students, art lovers, and officers and staff from all departments are encouraged to participate in large numbers to make this event a grand success.
