Kolar District is having 5 taluks namely kolar, Bangarpet, Malur, Mulbagal & Srinivaspura .In each taluk Senior Assistant Director of Horticulture is the head of the officeall the taluk Horticulture Office will come under Zilla Panchayat. Senior Assistant Director of Horticulture ( State Sector) kolar will look after the 4 Horticulture Farms & 4 department nurseries which are comes under State Sector.

Assistance will be given to increase the area under drip Irrigation. In this scheme assistance will be given maximum of 2 ha for vegetable crops & maximum of 5 ha for Fruit Crops.

Coconut development Board scheme (S-04)

An assistance of Rs. 17500/- ha will be given to the farmers to increase the production, productivity & maintainance of the coconut gardens.

Horticulture Crops pest & diseases control / Management scheme (S-09)

Assistance is given to the production of goniyojas parasite to control coconut Black headded caterpillar & also assistane will be given to the farmers who are purchased plant protection chemicals.

Suvarna Bhoomi Yojane(S-13)

An assistance of Rs. 10000/beneficiary is given to the small and marginal farmers for developing two acres of their horticultural land from low value to high value crops.

Horticlinic (S-19)

Main objective of this scheme is to promote, to develop & to disseminate the latest technologies to the farmers  through modern seientific approach in production technology, Integratd pest management, integratd nutrient management ,market approach, post harvest management etc. Conducting training programmes with the help of subject specialist & providing information to farmers regarding departmental schemes, extension activities which are taken up in the horticulture research stations etc.

Rashtriya Krishi Vikasa Yojana - Precision farming in Banana

An assistance of Rs. 45000/acre will be given to the each beneficiary who are belonging to SC, ST categories to encourage the area expansion of Banana.

Rashtriya Krishi Vikasa Yojana - Late blight of potato Management scheme

An assistance of Rs. 700 worth plant protection chemicals & assistance of Rs. 300 worth trichoderma / ha will be given to the farmers / each beneficiary  to control late blight of potato disease.

Rashtriya Krishi Vikasa Yojana - Support to Vegetable initiatives for urban cluster

The main objective of this scheme is to addressing all concerns relatd to both the demand & supply side of the vegetable sector in Bangalore City . Enhancing vegetable production & productivity, improve nutritional security & income support to vegetablegrowing farmers .providing safe & good quality of fresh as well as processed vegetables produce at competitive price for urban consumers. Creating employment generation opportunities for skilled & unskilled persons, especially unemployed youth.

Rashtriya Krishi Vikasa Yojane - Mechanization in Horticulture

An assistance of Maximun of Rs. 50000 will be given to the farmers who are purchased machineries related to horticulture.

Tengubeeja sangrahane & nursery nirvahane(D-04)

Good quality mango grafts are produced in the kuppanahalli & chavvenahalli horticulture farms. Grafted plants are distributed to the farmers as per the department SR rates.

An assistance of Rs. 12.50 lakhs will be given to private nursery men to establish Model Nursery.

Area expansion programme

An assistance of Rs.25740/ha will be given to the each beneficiary( Maximum of 4 ha / beneficiary). In this Scheme assistance will be given for 3 years.

An assistance of Rs.41601/ha will be given to the each beneficiary who are used tissue culture banana plants as a planting material ( Maximum of 4 ha / beneficiary ) In this Scheme assistance will be given for 2 years.
              1st year - Rs.31201/ha
              II nd  year - Rs.10400/ha

Plantation crops (Cashew)

An assistance of Rs.4000/ha for second year & assistance of Rs 3375/ha for third year maintainance  will be given to the each beneficiary for increasing area under cashew.

Floriculture
Cut Flowers

An assistance of Rs. 23100/ha will be given to the each beneficiary for cut flower production(( Maximum of 4 ha / beneficiary ).

Loose Flowers  
(chrysanthemum, china aster,jasmine, Marigold) 

An assistance of Rs.7920/ha will be given to the each beneficiary for loose flower production(( Maximum of 4 ha / beneficiary )

Rejuvanation of Mango orchards

An assistance of Rs 15000 /ha will be given to the each beneficiary (maximam of 2 ha / beneficiary will be given) to rejuvenate mango orchards.

 Protected cultivation
High cost green house

An assistance of Rs. 4.675 lakhs / 1000 Sq. m will be given to the each  Beneficiary to establish high cost green house.
(subsidy cost of 1 sq m is Rs 467.50)

Shade net

An assistance of Rs. 2.05 lakhs / 1000 Sq. m will be given to the each  Beneficiary to establish shade net.
(subsidy cost of 1 sq m is Rs 205)

Creation of water Resources

An assistance of Rs. 0.60 lakhs will be given for construction of farm ponds of the size of20*20*3 mts.

INM/IPM

An assistance of Rs. 1000 /ha will be given to the each beneficiary under INM/IPM programme((maximam of 2 ha / beneficiary will be given)

Mulching

An assistance of Rs. 10000 /ha will be given to the each beneficiary for mulching of Horticulture crops (maximam of 2 ha / beneficiary will be given)

Plant Health clinic

Maximum of Rs 20.00 lakhs/unit is given to the public sector to establish plant health clinic.

Organic farming (3 rd year)

An assistance of Rs. 3000 /ha will be given to the each beneficiary who are adopted organic farming in their lands and also assistance of Rs. 200000 /50 ha will be given to the organic certification .

Biodigestor/Vermicompost unit

An assistance of Rs. 30000/ unit will be given to the each beneficiary to construct Biodigestor/Vermicompost unit

Demonstration

An assistance of Rs.18.75 lakhs/unit is given to the public sector for demonstration.

Human Resource Development
Study tour  -  Tour within the state

 

An assistance of Rs. 1500 for 5 days will be given to the  each beneficiary for the tour within the state.

Tour outside the state

An assistance of Rs. 3000  for 7 days will be given to the each Beneficiary for the tour outside the state. 

Tour within the District

An assistance of Rs.400  for 1 day will be given to the each Beneficiary for the tour within the district .

Mechanization in Horticulture

An assistance of maximum of Rs. 30000  will be given to the each unit for farmers who are purchased power machines below 20Hp & an assistance of maximum of Rs. 75000  will be given to the each unit for farmers who are purchased power machines above 20Hp.

Post Harvest Management
  Pack House

An assistance of Rs. 1.5 lakhs will be given to establish a  pack house.

Procedures for getting benefits through these schemes

  • Primarly farmers should have their own land.
  • Farmers  who wants to get the benefit through the scheme, they should submit the Application form with all the necessary documents to taluk horticulture office.
  • Further Technical team / taluk horticulture officer will examine the documents which are given by the farmers & they inspect the farmers fields . Based on the guidelines  which is issued by the department, officer will give the sanction.
  • Finally the the farmers who are consider eligible they will get the subsidy & subsidy amount is given in the form of check . check is taken in the name of beneficiary & it has been transfer to the farmers/beneficiary  saving bank account.
